In recent years, as organizations increased online work, we’ve trained thousands of organizers and trainers in dynamic online facilitation, in English and Spanish. Now, even as in-person work resumes, “hybrid” facilitation (with some people in-person and some online) has emerged as an important format that is “here to stay.” Hybrid spaces allow some in-person connection while expanding access across ability, geography, caregiver status, and class, helping us live into our values and deepen our impact. Alongside the benefits, hybrid facilitation brings real challenges. This clinic is a space to share stories and strategies about how we’re utilizing hybrid approaches for all types of gatherings.
