Childcare & Caregiver Support

We offer a limited number of cash stipends for parents and caregivers who need to arrange care back home in order to attend the workshop. If you request a stipend, we do not require documentation of how you use it. Possible uses could include: paying a childcare or eldercare provider while you are at the workshop; paying for food, travel, or lost wages for a family member who is taking on care responsibilities during your absence; other childcare and caregiving uses that will support your attendance. Depending on your circumstances, the stipend may not cover the full associated costs of care, but is meant to make the workshop more accessible. If you request a stipend, we’ll follow up directly with the amount available and next steps.

Fee: How much can you pledge to contribute toward registration, if your application is accepted?
This workshop is sliding scale, $100-$1,000. The true cost is $1,000 per participant. Our sliding scale honors different abilities to pay and helps us compensate trainers, staff, and accessibility providers fairly. We ask organizations and individuals with large budgets to pay at the higher rates to support the sustainability of this program and help us accept more folks who pledge lower amounts. We acknowledge the different costs and considerations around your attendance, including childcare/caregiving, time away from paid work, and more, and we offer lower fee options for participants who are not able to pay at a higher rate. Scholarship options below.
We aim to make this workshop as accessible to you as possible. If you anticipate an accommodation that would support you to participate fully, please let us know. For example, throughout the workshop participants will be invited to participate in movement-based activities, which may involve walking, stretching, jumping, or lifting your arms over your head. We aim to adjust these activities as needed to meet the needs of the participants in the room, and encourage you to note here if you have mobility-related access needs. If you need a lodging room with less walking or stairs, access to comfier or larger seating options, dimmer lighting options, or any other accommodations, please let us know. Due to the nature of the venues we work with, we may not be able to accommodate all requests, but we will aim to communicate transparently in advance of the workshop.
Health Protocol

Covid Safety Protocol

Vaccination: Although strongly encouraged, COVID-19 vaccination is not required to attend this workshop. Some participants may not have received vaccination prior to the workshop.

Masks: Mask-wearing is not mandated during this workshop. We encourage and support voluntary mask-wearing, but it is not required, unless there is a known exposure during the workshop. We ask that everyone wear a mask during their travel to the workshop.

Testing: All participants and trainers are asked to rapid test each day before the training begins. Rapid tests will be provided, and results will be “honor system."

Other Protocol: If someone learns during the workshop that they've had exposure (i.e. family member back home tests positive), we will disclose this to the group. They will be asked to show proof of a negative rapid test each day, before attending this workshop. If a workshop participant tests positive or experiences symptoms during the workshop, they will not be permitted back into the workshop. We will disclose to the group, offer a fee refund and offer reasonable support around travel back home or quarantine. If someone tests positive for covid or experiences symptoms within 14 days after the workshop, we will share this information with all participants so they can determine if they need to get tested or take other measures. If the workshop is canceled for all participants due to COVID-19 exposure or risk, we will offer a refund for participant fees.

If any of this protocol changes, we will let you know as soon as possible.

Do you understand and agree to the Covid Protocol, above?
